One-for-one alternatives

A source-authored ingredient alternative belongs in one recipe when selecting it does not require recalculating other quantities or changing the method.

When it becomes another recipe

If replacing sugar with stevia changes quantities, structure, or method, publish a derived recipe with lineage. Do not hide a materially different recipe behind a substitution list.

Conditional directions

Closed parameters and activations can select explicitly authored branches—for example cold versus ambient fermentation—while admission validates every distinct reachable active graph.
